Last week I decided to make some small changes to Up the Poudre. For fear of possibly being in competition for the the web address www.upthepoudre.com, I decided to go ahead and purchase the aforementioned domain name. So no longer will this site be registered as www.upthepoudre.blogspot.com, it has changed to www.upthepoudre.com. A minor change that hopefully hasn't stopped anyone from being able to view the site.
The second change you may have noticed is that Up the Poudre has entered the world of Facebook. So if you use Facebook, and want to follow along, we can be found there as well. It has been a long time coming, and hopefully this makes it easier for some people to follow along. Who knows, some might even click the "like" button.
Please let me know if you are experiencing any issues with Up the Poudre (besides bad writing and poor photo quality). Your feedback is appreciated.
Thanks,
Sanders
All appears to be working fine. You will not regret the change, just make sure and not forget to RENEW your url every year. Many services allow you to sign up for this to occur automatically.
ReplyDeleteEverything is working fine over here. Good luck with new stuff!
ReplyDeleteoh snap! hitting the big time!
ReplyDeleteIts working OK here.
ReplyDeleteI want to fish that stream in your header photo.
I love the new look...and like ya on FB! Cool! That new header....Montana? Poor photo quality though. ;)
ReplyDeleteRabid- Thanks for the tip...I am pretty forgetful, so I'll need to remember that.
ReplyDeleteGeorge- Great...thanks!
ReplyDeleteTravis- You know me...
ReplyDeleteBrk Trt- That stream in the header, is full of westslope cutts. One of the streams we fished in MT. I think that you'd have some fun :-)
ReplyDeletee.m.b- Thanks! I am trying the new look in an attempt to simplify things (as you can tell by my new venture into Facebook...ha!)
ReplyDeleteThat picture was actually taken by Travis (in MT)...he is a much more reliable shot than I am :-)
More importantly, which slingpack is that and how do you like it?
ReplyDeleteOh, like the new look too.
Steve- If you're talking about the black bag on the shoulder, that is my camera bag. With it was for fishing...but the waist pack is the Fishpond Waterdance. It's the only pack I've owned, and I like it a lot. The camera bag isn't bad either...ha!
ReplyDeleteWorks fine here. Congrats on owning the url. Now you can make bumper stickers! ;)
ReplyDeleteLoah- Thanks! I think that bumper stickers is a great idea...ha!
ReplyDeleteEverything lookin good from my end. I will definitely be following through facebook too. Just did my own FB page and profile. That new header pick is great. I think if I look closely enough I can see that lunker deep in that hole :) Has to be at least a 20" fish ;) That FishPond pack looks like the bees knees. Tight Lines.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so that's more interesting. Which camera bag? I noticed you're bringing your SLR on the stream which is pretty bold. That thing waterproof?
ReplyDeleteTrout- Thanks, the 20"er is down there somewhere...ha! The pack works really well for me...my wife buys great gifts :-)
ReplyDeleteSteve- The bag is a Lowepro sling pack...I have been a little aggressive carrying the slr with me on the water...nothings waterproof...ha! I'm just a little stubborn, especially since one of my point and shoots went for a swim with me a couple weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteSanders, you've gone Hollywood, er...Montana on us. I'm pickin' you up loud and clear. Welcome back and don't forget Colorado.
ReplyDeleteCofisher- I know...but as Loah pointed out, I might want to start selling bumper stickers...ha! It's good to be home :-)
ReplyDeleteReal nice new look, Sanders. I think I saw a Brownie laying along the undercut bank! Just "liked" you over on Facebook a few moments ago. Should consider Google + also!
ReplyDeletenicely done! You are now liked on FB. Loved the MT updates! Agree w/ Mel since you are making changes G+ is a good addition. If you need an invite let me know.
ReplyDeleteMel- I think I missed that same brown...ha! Thanks for liking the Facebook page, Facebook and me will be a work in progress for awhile...
ReplyDeleteTom- Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the MT posts, they were certainly fun to write. I'll let you know on the G+, going to try to figure Facebook out first.
ReplyDeleteGood stuff, my traveling friend. I like the changes!
ReplyDeleteMike- Thanks! Change is always good...or so they say :-)
ReplyDeleteI usually resist change, but since there's nothing I can do about this particular change, I'm embracing it! The good thing is that the old url in my blog rollage automatically directs to the new url, so I didn't have to change a thing. So in that regard, nothing has changed.
ReplyDeleteHey Sanders, good idea. I've been thinking about doing it too. Mainly because I can't remember my own address when I'm telling people about my blog. Maybe this will help haha.
ReplyDeleteKirk- Thanks for embracing my change, as I didn't know, the url changed automatically...almost making this a meaningless change for everyone except me.
ReplyDeleteJGR- ha! I hear ya on the forgetting the url...we're not that old are we? I think you should make the change...if for nothing else than some simplification
ReplyDeleteHa! Poor photo quality and bad writing...are you fishing for a compliment?
ReplyDelete-stephanie
Stephanie- Ha! Maybe I am...wouldn't be the first time :-)
ReplyDeleteNice plug for ya on FB by Kirk- time for you to start cranking out the writing. You know I'm a big fan.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the Facebook, found you there and added you to my favorites.
ReplyDeleteJason- Thanks, I appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteBlake- Thanks! We'll see how this Facebook thing goes...ha!
ReplyDeleteWell, the new look is good...Mel, FR, now you...I guess that I will follow suit pretty soon! See you next week!! : )
ReplyDeleteRD- Thanks! I think you should make the change :-)
ReplyDeleteNext week is only a week away...ha! looking forward to it!
